Vapor Degreasing & Aqua Degreasing

Vapor Degreasing & Aqua Degreasing Vapor Degreasing and Aqua Degreasing is a form of pretreating the metals prior to the pickling process. Each one of these degreasing forms of cleaning uses a pressure spray that deep cleans the metal from all types of oils, waxes and greases, as well as many other contaminants known to be found on metals. Both the vapor degreasing and aqua degreasing processes involve hot vapors of a volatile chlorinated solvent cleaner that treats, cleans and rids the metal of anything that could contaminant the application for which the metal will be used for.

Vapor Degreasing has been used a metal cleaning process for many years. For example, most of the metals used in the aviation industry have been cleaned with the vapor degreasing process. Vapor degreasing is chosen because of its non-flammable properties, its minimum amount of labor, and its cost effectiveness. When theses solvents are raised to their boiling points vapor is released as a high-powered spray. This vapor then starts to condense on the metal surface and as condensation occurs the surface is cleaned by the vapor dissolving the grease or oil.

The other form of degreasing is Aqua Degreasing. This degreasing process is perfect for removing lightly soiled metals. The entire aqua degreasing process contains a water-based, biodegradable cleaning compound that is sprayed from specialized equipment.

All-in-all this metal cleaning process is similar in nature to vapor degreasing except for the cleaning agents used. Aquadegreasing is mainly used for metals that are contaminated with light oils only. Contact Electro-Max and ask how our vapor degreasing and aqua degreasing can help your metal cleaning needs.
